Dr. Hotten was born and raised in Kitchener. He graduated with HBSC from University of Waterloo in 1997. He then went on and graduated with DVM from OVC at University of Guelph in 2002. After school, he started in mixed practice until 2005 when he decided to switch to 100% small animal practice. Dr. Hotten Completed the AIMLA training for laser therapy in 2010. He has a special interest in integrated and Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine where he studied at the CHI Institute in Florida for TCVM and obtained CVA (Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist) in 2012.
He completed training studies in Chinese Herbal therapies, food therapy and Tui-na massage therapy.
Dr. Hotten specializes in acupuncture, Chinese Herbal therapies, food therapy, tui-na massage and laser therapy. Has has been with Beattie Pet Hospital since 2013.
On his spare time he enjoys all sports and athletics from bowling to skiing and hockey. He enjoys camping, kayaking, motorcycle riding and many other activities. He loves to spend time with family, nieces and nephews and the family dog Kelly.
